We Grow Vegetables...
...knowing that increasing the proportion of fresh vegetables in the diet is one of the keys to good health. We harvest them daily, knowing that the nutritional value and flavor of many vegetables begins to decline soon after harvest. And we offer them only to our local community because we believe the surest guarantee that a farm product is free of toxic chemical residues comes when consumers can know and trust their local farmer. With shorter transport distances and times, we can grow varieties that are superior in flavor and nutrition to those available in the industrial-commodity food system. And finally, reducing the distance food travels from farm to table yields a small but meaningful reduction in the energy expenditure and climate impact of food distribution.
